Think back to your college days – or to perhaps this morning – and you should recall what the “walk of shame†is. Things are still blurry as you try to sort out what happened last night. Much like when your roommate helped you recall the debauchery, so to are we here to help you sort out yesterday’s sports madness.

The Pats Won’t Go Undefeated
Well, at least not against the spread. Last night was the first time they failed to cover. A.J. Feeley and the Eagles tried to beat the Pats at their own game, throwing 42 times vs. just 19 runs. But of course, they aren’t the Patriots. They’re 5-6 Philly, although it was nice to see N.E. almost struggle. Some seem to think this means N.E. is beatable. I’d say being 11-0, and able to squeak out the tough games is more of a sign that they’re untouchable, rather than vice versa.
Where Art Thou, Laurence Maroney
Maroney was projected to be a top 10-20 fantasy running back, depending on who you ask. Where does he rank now? He’s somewhere around 40th, right ahead of Najeh Davenport and just behind Kenton Keith. He did manage to score his second TD of the season last night and had extremely impressive 10 carries for 31 yards. Daunte Culpepper would’ve been a better second round pick.
Your BCS Title Game: Mizzou vs. WVU
Let’s start the betting now. Which title game will be the bigger blow-out: Tigers vs. Mountaineers or Patriots vs. Cowboys? I guess you could also throw in Celtics vs. Suns, but that would assume I care about the NBA in November. Or ever.
It’s OK to Start the Duke Hate Beginning … Now
After beating Marquette to win the Maui, Duke traveled back across the country to take on perennial powerhouse Eastern Kentucky. Taylor King’s 27 points in the 78-43 nail biter prompted a chant of “Taylor’s winning†from the “Crazies.†Oh man, a chant that rich must’ve been part of one of their notoriously dorky cheer sheets.↵
