Dwight Howard Wishes to Throw it Down

By Chris Mottram
We can all agree on one thing: Dwight Howard was robbed at last year’s dunk contest. Gerald Green stole that title from him, and now Howard wants redemption.
“Dwight Howard says he’d like to compete in the slam-dunk competition during all-star weekend in February in New Orleans. ... ‘I’ll be back if they’ll have me,’ Howard said. ... Howard was upset after last season’s slam-dunk competition in Las Vegas, feeling the judges didn’t reward him for his creative “sticker dunk.”
In case you forgot about the “sticker dunk,” he’s a little refresher:

He planted that sticker with his mug on it 12-feet-six-inches above the hardwood, while also grabbing an alley oop and dunking it cleanly. Not surprising from a man who can kiss the rim.
If he does return, he’s gonna have some stiff competition in the form of Wizards rookie Nick Young.
