Packers at Cowboys is only the biggest NFC game of the season. So, you didn’t actually expect to be able to watch it, did you?

Well, I take that back. If you’re part of the lucky 40% that gets to see 100% of the NFL Network’s games, then you’ll be able to enjoy Favre vs. Favre Jr. from the comfort of your home. Otherwise, you’d better find a bar. And get there early.
As billionaires continue to bicker with billionaires over broadcast rights for the Network, thousandaire* fans are suffering the consequences. And some are seeing it as a sign of the NFL apocalypse:
“Randy Coffman, a 47-year-old Washington fan, is worried the NFL will shift more games to its channel, especially the most attractive matchups. ‘Next year, they’ll put four or five more games on NFL Network. Ten years from now, everything will be on NFL Network. You’ll need some sort of super TV, with a super satellite, to even watch the NFL.’”
Yeah, and then the NFL will move to Mars, and we’ll need a super spaceship with super rocket boosters just to get to the games.
Some fans are clearly overreacting just slightly. At worst, it’s a minor inconvenience, and at best, it’s an excuse to go out to a bar tonight (as if you needed one).
Besides, fans should have bigger concerns. Such as how we are going to possibly make the Super Bowl interesting to watch when the Pats are up 48 points at halftime. Perhaps we should start creating some sort of drinking game.
*Sometimes we make up words. Get used to it.
