Per a trusted source on the West Coast, USC linebackers Brian Cushing and Rey Maualuga have decided to wait on the NFL and come back to school for their senior seasons.
Falcons executives have told their scouts that quarterback will not be among their biggest needs entering the off-season (we beg to differ).
Per the Birmingham Times, UAB safety Will Dunbar will file his paperwork with the NFL Advisory committee this week. Dunbar figures to receive a 4th round grade.
Virginia Tech’s student paper, the Collegiate Times has defensive back Brandon Flowers likely to enter the upcoming draft. Flowers could be a first round pick. Fellow defensive back Victor Harris is still contemplating his options.
Tennessee State cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has accepted an invite to the Senior Bowl.
Virginia Tech players are receiving a lot of all-star game invites as well. Linebacker Xavier Adibi and defensive end Chris Ellis have been invited to the Senior Bowl. Receivers Eddie Royal and Josh Morgan, linebacker Vince Hall, offensive tackle Duane Brown have been invited to the Hula Bowl. Free safety D.J. Parker has been invited to the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Nebraska is sending offensive tackle Carl Nicks to the Senior Bowl and quarterback Sam Keller to the East-West Shrine Bowl.
