Think back to your college days – or to perhaps this morning – and you should recall what the “walk of shame†is. Things are still blurry as you try to sort out what happened last night. Much like when your roommate helped you recall the debauchery, so to are we here to help sort out yesterday’s sports madness.
Memo to No. 31: Horse Collar Tackles Are Illegal
One would assume that Roy Williams realizes he can’t pull guys down by the back of their pads seeing as the rule is in place because of him. But, because he’s either not very bright or just doesn’t care, he continues to do it. On Sunday, he was penalized for the third time this year for a horse collar. On Monday, the NFL told him to go ahead and take Week 16 off. Here’s the tackle, in case you missed it:

Last night was the first complete game I’ve watched Minnesota play this season, and it was ugly. And pathetic. Tarvaris Jackson is really the quarterback that gives them the best chance to win? Because that guy is a nightmare. Granted, it was only his 12th start, but I don’t see how they enter the playoffs with him behind center. Having said all that, the Vikings were still better than the Bears, even with a 4:1 turnover ratio.
Vina Only Used HGH
Fernando Vina admitted yesterday that he used Human Growth Hormone in 2003: “I never bought steroids from him. All I used was HGH.” Oh, well, it was just HGH. In that case, who cares? And what’s that you say?: “It didn’t help, either.” Only HGH AND it didn’t even help. Why didn’t Clemens think of this defense?
Suns Beat Spurs, No One Hurts Lil’ Stevie Nash
If last night’s game was a seven-game playoff series, then the Suns totally would’ve avenged what happened in the conference semis last year. But, as it stands, it was only a regular season game. However, it was a highly entertaining game and a nice win for the Suns. Plus, Nash made it out with all his remaining teeth intact.↵
