There is a saying about a pot calling a kettle names that applies here. On cable television tonight, Pete Rose will say that the players in the Mitchell Report are “making a mockery of the game.”
While this may be true (although I tend not to put much stock in the Report ... at least not yet), who does Pete Rose think he is? An alter boy?
Actually, according to Rose, that’s exactly what he is: “I never thought anybody would make me look like an altar boy.” He shouldn’t be too concerned, because I don’t think anybody fancies Rose a man of the cloth. Unless that cloth is Jockey underwear (don’t click if you’ve recently eaten).
You can watch Rose try to scratch and claw his way back into relevance at 10PM tonight on some show called “Sports Unfiltered with Dennis Miller” on some channel called Spike.
Wait, Dennis Miller is still on television? I think I may have buried the lead here.

Pete Rose Is Now a Moral Authority
