With three rings, countless accomplishments, and even more game-changing/game-saving performances, Kobe Bryant is undeniably a living legend. Though he remains popular stateside throughout his ups and downs on and off the court, the Kobe Bryant’s legend is intensified 1,000-fold in China. It has been said that Kobe’s presence in China is equivalent to the Beatles visiting the US during the height of Beatlemania.
To celebrate his immense popularity in China, Nike created the “China” Nike Zoom Kobe III, a remixed Lakers colorway of Kobe’s third signature sneaker. The “China” Nike Zoom Kobe III is set to officially release tomorrow, Dec. 22nd, at the House of Hoops in Harlem, the only domestic location that this otherwise Chinese exclusive will be available at. Retail for the “China” Nike Zoom Kobe III is set at $200.
In addition to the “China” Nike Zoom Kobe III, the “Black/Varsity Maize” Nike Zoom Kobe III will also pre-release tomorrow, Dec. 22nd, at the House of Hoops. The sneaker will then “disappear” until its general release during the first half of February 2008.
Also set to release this weekend:
Air Jordan 8 Mid (Black/Varsity Red-White-Bright Concord), $140.
Available where Air Jordan Footwear is sold.
Air Jordan Retro 15 LS (Black/Metalic Gold-White), $160.
Available at Jordan Brand Lifestyle accounts.
