If you aren’t a fan of the Redskins, the most extensive tributes you likely saw were “21” stickers on your team’s helmet and a moment of silence observed before each game. Or perhaps Jimmy Johnson tearing up during FOX’s pregame show (haven’t found video of this, but can assure you that it happened).
But at FedEx Field, the game turned into a memorial for Sean Taylor. Here is video from part of the pregame ceremony in Taylor’s memory, which by all reports, was extremely emotional for fans and players alike:

The D.C. Sports Bog also documented the many signs, shirts and other tributes to the late safety as seen around various tailgates before the game. Even a Bills fan paid respect.
Now that Taylor has officially been laid to rest, hopefully the team (and league) can try to move on.
