Based on the fact that everything in Wikipedia is always 100% true, then the following bit of info is gospel: Derrick Rose’s nickname is “Pooh” because he was “chubby and yellow like Pooh Bear” as a child.
It’s a name he takes seriously, based on the tattoo on his left shoulder. “Tattooed on Rose’s left bicep, is a wizard holding a staff in one hand, a basketball in the other and framed by the words ‘The Great Poohdini’”:

Tonight, Poohdini plays O.J. Mayo for the first time since high school. According to DeCourcy’s source, the last time the two met it was “the greatest AAU game ever seen.” Add Chris Douglas-Roberts to the mix, and tonight’s USC-Memphis game (9PM, ESPN) at the Jimmy V could be the most exciting inter-conference match-up of the year.
Plus, we get to check out K-State’s Michael Beasley against Notre Dame beforehand. He’s still averaging 26 and 15.
