No-Name Steeler Guarantees Win Against Pats

By Chris Mottram
Someone named Anthony Smith, who apparently plays for the Steelers, has decided it would be a good idea to tell a member of the media that Pittsburgh is going to beat New England on Sunday.
“We’re going to win. Yeah, I can guarantee a win. Now we have our swagger back on defense and we’re playing great ball and they’re playing great on the offensive side, too. I think we have a real good chance to win the game and we will win the game.”
These are the same Steelers who lost to the Cardinals, Broncos and Jets, right? But I guess they didn’t have their “swagger” during those games. See, it’s those kind of intangibles which give back-up safeties all the false hope in the world.
Smith has Rodney Harrison on alert though. When asked about the safety’s guarantee, Harrison said, “Never heard of him.”

UPDATE: Video evidence of the guarantee:

“I don’t care nothing about no spotlight.” Was that a triple-negative? Well played, good sir.
