For all of the times you’ve watched ski-jumping and thought, “How do those skis stay on underneath all the stress of takeoff?” Well, here’s your answer: sometimes they don’t, which is precisely what happened to this jumper in the Predazzo, Italy this past Saturday.

Norwegian Bjoern Einar Romoeren, 20, is the unfortunate jumper in the video. He walked away from this crash and sustained no serious injuries, though the inclement weather did prompt officials to limit each subsequent competitor to one jump only. Norway’s Tom Hilde won the competition with a jump of 130.5 meters.↵
