Sports don’t start and end with a referee’s whistle. FirstCuts, a blog dedicated to sports culture, will cover everything outside the lines, from the games to the gear.
OK, so I’ve watched about 30 seconds of the Australian Open to this point, and that was while emptying the dishwasher, but I’m always up for a good ball-and-net video game.
Tennis games have a special place in my heart -- particularly Virtua Tennis from the Dreamcast and tennis in the Wii Sports pack that comes with the Nintendo Wii. 2K Sports is scheduled to release Top Spin 3 in the third quarter of ‘08, but for now we’ve got a few screens to whet your appetite.
