You Stay Classy, UNC Fans

It’s ancient news in internet time by now, but Maryland went into UNC on Saturday and upset the Heels 82-80. Similar to how they beat then No. 5 North Carolina last time the two played, also by two points.
The UNC loss was obviously a huge surprise given how poorly Maryland has played this season. But perhaps more surprising was the reaction of their fans, which has been well documented over the weekend. This morning, however, we were sent a new-to-us video featuring audio of the fans yelling at the Terps after Hansbrough bricked the would-be game winner.
Listen for the rich girl yelling, “Go back to the ghetto!”:

I’ll let you make your own judgments with regards to how offensive (and possibly racist) this slur is, although I’m fairly certain she meant it in the most hateful way possible.
And for the record, I in no way think all Tar Hell fans are horrible people. But this sort of behavior clearly reflects poorly upon their entire fan base.
UPDATE: So we are clear, I am in no way implying that the person who yelled the “ghetto” comment is the girl shown in the above video.
