Clinton Not Afraid to Admit He’s Fair Weathered

By Chris Mottram
Let me just double check here ... yep, Bill Clinton is indeed from Arkansas. I don’t know what NFL team you root for growing up in The Natural State, but I’m certain it’s not the Giants. Yet he somehow considers the Giants to be his “home team.”

Now, I get it. The Clintons purchased a house in New York after his second term, but living in an area for less than a decade is not nearly long enough to give you the right to openly root for that city/state’s teams. Except for with the Yankees, Red Sox, and Patriots. Apparently, you can be from anywhere in the country and still miraculously end up a fan of those franchises. Funny how that works.
So, here is exactly what Bill said when asked about the Super Bowl: “[The Giants are] the underdog and they’re my home team. But I’m glad the Patriots are undefeated and I’m glad that teamwork from both teams is back at the center of professional sports.”
Yeah, thank god teamwork is back. I remember when teams used to win the Super Bowl with literally one player on the field. I think his name was Ditka.
Bill would also like to let you know that he’s good friends with Tom Brady and that he considers Brady to be a “remarkable man.” I guess even ex-presidents can’t help but develop a mancrush at the mere sight of Dreamboat.
