Vinnie Iyer breaks down the ongoing action of the Titans-Chargers first-round AFC playoff game:

Still no electricity (4:05 left): So far it’s been two touches for LaDainian Tomlinson and no looks to Antonio Gates. And a chop block penalty drawn by Pro Bowl left guard Kris Dielman kills the Chargers’ second drive. San Diego needed to come back and win at Tennessee in overtime after being down 17-3, and it is similarly struggling early here.
Here they come at Young (6:02 left): The Chargers find some giddyap to get after Vince Young, and laying a sack (Jacques Cesaire) and a solid third-down hit (Igor Olshansky) on him. Young looks OK, but he needs to stay confident after being a bit rattled.
Finnegan’s wake-up call (7:35 left): The Titans figure to take their chances by being aggressive against the Chargers’ offense. They call a cornerback blitz early, resulting in a sack of Philip Rivers by Cortland Finnegan. Finnegan then makes a quick third-down tackle to force a punt. The Titans have more energy early.
Titans strike first (9:37 left): So Tennessee comes out with a funky offensive line shift to the left and a harmless incomplete pass, but Vince Young didn’t really look like his right thigh injury was bothering him, making enough plays with his arm and legs to open with a field-goal drive. I like the game plan of running often with some good quick passing and moving Young to negate the San Diego pass rush. The Titans can stay in this one if their D cooperates. Tennessee 3, San Diego 0.
Pre-kickoff thoughts: The Titans are obviously big underdogs as a road wild-card team, but that makes them very dangerous, because with all their injuries and the personnel mismatches against the Chargers, they will put out every play and leave everything on the field. Getting the ball first is good for Tennessee.↵
