↵Coming on the heels of a second division soccer team jumping into a crocodile-infested river, I do believe we have a trend, ladies and gentlemen: second division soccer is not only dangerous, but will kill you. That is a truly, truly horrendous day by any standards ... except these:↵↵⇥Members of the San Cayetano football club from the northern city of Celendin were on their way home from a fixture when highway robbers “forced the bus driver out of his seat at gunpoint”. The brakes “came loose”, as the Andina state news agency puts it, and the vehicle plunged 600ft down a ravine, killing eight people and injuring 22.↵↵All of this on top of the 10-0 loss they suffered earlier in the day means: devastating loss, robbery attempt, and then plunging headlong off a cliff into a ravine and either being injured or killed is “Worst Day of All Time FTW,” awarded to the San Cayetano football club of Celendin, Peru.
