Fighting Fire With Water Hazards

The wildfires are once again ablaze in Southern California. Over 1,000 homes have been destroyed and the fires still aren’t under control, but that hasn’t stopped residents in Brea, CA from getting their golf on. Although that helicopter landing on the course might be a slight distraction during their backswing: ↵

↵↵You may be wondering what a chopper is doing setting down over in the rough there. Well, I’ll tell you. That helicopter belongs to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and, as you can see, it is using its long tube thing to suck water out of the course’s hazard to transport and dump on the wildfires. ↵

↵↵It’s a pretty amazing scene really, and there are many more photos to be seen here thanks to someone named David Reeve, who will not let Mother Nature impede upon his leisure activities. ↵
