At Least Bruce Pearl’s Ex-Wife Isn’t Bitter

Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl and his wife of 25 years divorced last year. I won’t pretend to know the details of the separation, but certainly his penchant for getting handsy with the 20-something co-ed crowd didn’t help things. Obviously not heeding Kanye’s pre-nup advice, Bruce’s ex-wife Kim Shrigley left with a good chunk of the $1.6 million he makes per season. She used the money to open a salon with a very apt name:↵↵⇥Kim Shrigley started a new chapter in her life Tuesday with the opening of Alimony’s Hair & Nail Salon. ↵⇥↵⇥She funded the new business with money from her divorce from Bruce Pearl, the University of Tennessee men’s basketball coach. ↵⇥

↵⇥↵⇥Her ultimate goal for clients: “I want them to have had a nice experience and see that you can go through some horrible stuff and come out on top,” she said. “It’s not the end of the world. It feels like it at first, but it’s not.” ↵⇥

↵↵Right, you can totally come out on top, ladies ... if your ex-husband is a millionaire. If he was poor, well, then it probably is the end of the world.↵↵But really, this is a fine way for Kim to get some revenge against Bruce. The ball is now in his court, and we all know what he should do with it: Send his 20-year-old lady friends to get their manis done at Alimony’s, and let the owner know Bruce sent them. ↵
