Sam Bradford is your Heisman winner, and former OU star Billy Sims is pumped. What better place to try to get a “Boomer Sooner” chant started than at the climax of the trophy ceremony? That dude yelling “Boomer!” over and over (and over and over) is Sims who won the trophy in the ‘70s.

↵Either the rest of the Heisman fraternity needs to loosen up, or Jason White needs to start slipping Sims a mickey on Heisman Saturday. The duality of the buttoned-down, football players actin’ classy mood in the theatre with the raw, primal energy college football’s all about -- that’s a burn pile just waiting for dynamite. If anything, Sims shows how silly the whole endeavor has become. A sage, really.
