SEC Championship Pregame: Cold Tension All Around

You may be shocked to discover that with a temperature around 45 degrees and a crowd made up primarily of Southerners, no one really wants to hang out in the parking lot outside the Georgia Dome and woof at each other at the SEC Championship Game.
↵
↵Alabama fans and Florida fans both appear to be making shivering beelines for the gates with all due haste, taking time only to spike Dasani bottles with vodka and bourbon on the way past security hoping to get them through. For the most part, they appear to be successful in this effort.
↵
↵The mood is tense: less boisterous than prior SEC championship games, as both fanbases seem unsure of what they’re going to see from either team today.
↵
↵Alabama fans--the majority here--seem to think chanting a curious combination of Tim Tebow’s name and the word for a bag of tea is both witty, charming, and worth repeating. I have no idea what they mean by this. Florida fans, for the most part, are just milling around wishing it was warmer and they were drunker.
↵
↵Nick Saban’s out conducting pass skeleton defense himself. Tim Tebow is warming up seventy yards to Saban’s right, tossing soft practice tosses to his wideouts. If you have the fast-forward button for life, please press it now: I’ll gladly give up these thirty precious minutes to light this candle and light it now.↵
