The Ocho Preview Dos: Louisville - Carolina

By Will Brinson
I wish that Rick Pitino had the stones to actually drop “I don’t give a _____ about North Carolina” at his press conference, but I can’t blame him for not wanting to motivate Tyler Hansbrough’s Will any more.
On the other hand, maybe it would serve to remind Roy Williams’ team that he’s never won a National Championship with his own players. Don’t kid yourselves, Heels fans, Matt D. recruited everyone of those guys from 2005 before he got run out of town because Sean May couldn’t deal with being told to put down the donuts. But I digress.
I could now go off on some other tangent about the various abilities of the players involved, but would probably just get angry thinking about how good Ty Lawson is and how daggum hard Tyler works. Besides, this press conference battle between Roy and Rick is much funnier.

As for a pick, I’m taking Louisville (again, for you gamblers, plus six) by a deuce, 82-80. It’s not that I think Carolina won’t play well – I do – but I think they’ve faced inferior competition (Washington State’s “offense†is questionable at best) so far and Louisville’s defense is going to be able to at least slow the Heels down. ↵
