Dubya Has a Gas Can on His Right Arm

By Will Brinson
George W. Bush was on hand tonight at Opening Night, throwing out the first pitch in the first game in the first year of the first night of the first new stadium of the Nationals. (Sorry, just trying to keep up with Jon Miller.)
Anyway, Dubya brought the high cheese and, as Joe Morgan and Jon pointed out, if he’d had an 0-2 count on a batter, probably would have K-balled him. As you may recall, Bush wanted to toss to Manny Acta instead of Mitchell Report star and Nats catcher Paul Lo Duca. I might argue that having someone less popular, a la Lo Dukes, out there would have been a better option. Bush was not what you would call “cheered” by the crowd.

No, no, Mr. President. You did great. Everyone in the crowd was screaming “Booooooooooooooooooosh.”
Thanks to Enrico/700 Level for pulling the vid.↵
