Oscar and Cotto?↵In the hype for his tune-up fight with Stevie Forbes next Saturday, Oscar De La Hoya has been hinting at a possible career finale fight with Miguel Cotto in December. Of course, such a bout would be contingent on him beating Floyd Mayweather in September, which is quite a contingency.
↵
↵But just the fact that Oscar is saying his name must make Cotto happy. First a big 147 unifier with Tony Margarito (which is reportedly headed to Vegas, now that Sin City has amended its ridiculous policy about 10-oz gloves) and now the Golden Boy talking about fighting him in his gazillion-dollar PPV boxing farewell? Eat your heart out Money May. The cosmic ka-ching is ringing everywhere in Puerto Rico.

↵↵Tito and Ex?↵Felix Trinidad is trying to turn the tables on Bernard Hopkins and lure him into the ring with some psych-out tactics, calling BHop a “chicken” for refusing a potential fight with Tito this summer. It’s easy to imagine how disappointed Trinidad is after watching Hopkins’ fight with Calzaghe last Saturday. I mean, a Hopkins/Trinidad rematch would be sure to generate some heavy coin, and what’s more, with two old dudes in there running on half a tank, nobody gets hurt and everybody gets paid. Now if he wants to make his nut, Tito has to face the possibility of the big, young, freeswinging Jermain Taylor all up in his grill. And to that I say, oh woe is Tito, cause Jermain most likely will do to him today what Bernard did to him seven years ago:↵

↵↵Mike Tyson Quote of the Week↵“Being successful has more to do with your lifestyle than anything.”↵Iron Mike offered the above advice to British cruiserweight champion David Haye, who is planning to make a big splash in the heavyweight ranks this fall. Shortly before serving up this paean to clean living, some clumsy hooker spilled Mike’s blow and he smacked her with a fried leg of pork that he happened to have in his pocket.↵
