At the beginning, there were many. Here at the end, there is only one survivor going strong: Kiper, who according to a publicist did the whole show yesterday, was here early today, will do ESPN radio tonight until midnight, and then will be doing television all day tomorrow as well. ↵In between screening film of a dynamite middle school corner out of Dayton he’s sizing up for the 2017 draft and signing a few autographs, Mel was kind enough to point and look awesome. And like the distracted dog in a family photograph, Mel then saw something shiny and looked away.

↵In all fairness, that shiny thing he saw was a dynamite tight-end/h-back hybrid out of Minnesota Southern no one’s even thought about taking yet. Real value in the fifth round for the taking, according to Mel.↵
