BSTFWNHO: Last Weekend in NBA Playoffs

Every weekday, Shoals recounts playoff action in terms of the seven categories that govern the universe.↵
↵↵Big: That would be Kobe Bryant. On Friday he got to show off some, and play the good Son of Triangle, and get a win where it's practically impossible. You can keep LeBron and Pierce's endless fields of jumpers; I'll take those two Kobe shots that made everyone in Energy Solutions step back and see the world objectively for a split second.↵
↵
↵↵Small: I'm getting sick of saying this, but it's got to be Ray Allen, who's about to get benched for Eddie House.↵
↵
↵↵True: All year, KG said, "It's Paul Pierce's team." And really, this is what he meant. Pierce is the flamethrower, the scoring machine, the guy who takes over games. Those of us who watched the Celtics before this season knew that. Good to see him back.↵
↵
↵↵False: The Big Three were not a trio of stars in their prime ready to win this. They're older than we thought, and more tired now than we expected they'd be. Not that they're suddenly in the same shoes Phoenix was, but there is a window starting to creak down from overhead.↵
↵
↵↵Wide: Was Sunday's game one for the ages? Everyone but me seems to think so. I think the presence of LeBron, in that hallowed basketball city, game seven, two sizable individual performances ... really, how is anyone in the media going to get away with not exalting this one?↵
↵
↵↵Narrow: With these last few games, Delonte West made himself a lot of money. Ransom money. No way Cleveland let's its only other aggressive, independent player leave.↵
↵
↵↵Obama/Hillary: Obama is kind of like LeBron, and the Celtics are sort of Hilary-esque. I guess this just shows how little stock I place in that Boston victory.↵
