NBC Sports seemingly exists only for Notre Dame football, Arena football, horse racing, and the Olympics. Sportswise, they’re the Cicada network: they surface from underground for seasonal events, make a prehistoric buzzing noise, and they just as suddenly retreat back underground for another long term of rest and recuperation.

↵They do have the Olympics, but even then they will be trumped in their coverage by the BBC, who no matter what the Peacock Network does will have trumped them in cool points by creating their own mascot. So who, you ask, creatored the Monkey King, the BBC’s own Olympic mascot? The same guys who created the quirky animated band Gorillaz.
