What Your Television Is Doing This Weekend

↵

↵NBA:

↵It’s another one game weekend and it comes again late Sunday night at 9pm on ABC. Ratings for the Finals have been pretty stellar so far with the first three games drawing over 10.0 (11+ million viewers) on the Nielsen scale, and with the Celtics having the opportunity to close out the Lakers, Game Five should be no different. The trio of Breen, Jackson and Van Gundy are on the call yet again and they have been pretty steady throughout. They have their moments where they stray away from the action on the floor (namely when Van Gundy starts talking Hollywood), but last night’s call of the Celtics comeback solidified them as an announcing team worthy of calling the Finals.

The U.S. Open:

↵NBC will take over from ESPN this weekend as the U.S. Open heads into rounds three and four. ESPN’s coverage so far has been pretty spot on and even the overacting Chris Berman has toned it down for the Tournament. NBC will have a trio of Bob Costas, Peter Jacobson and Curtis Strange on the call. Coverage starts at 3pm both Saturday and Sunday.

Euro 2008:

↵The Euro Tournament continues this weekend, and actually doesn’t end until the 29th. We’re still in the round-robin first stage of the Tournament, but many of the groups have already been decided. Your best bet for a watching a game that will matter is Turkey vs. The Czech Republic this Sunday on ESPN, as both teams are tied with three points in Group A. The winning team will likely go onto the round of 16 along with the Group leader Portugal. Here’s the schedule:
