Lesson In Self-Sabotage, From a Teen Prospect

Okay, this is by far the best draft occurrence yet. Courtesy of the invincible Draft Express:↵↵⇥Anthony Randolph has strangely decided to work out for a number of teams that seemingly have little chance at drafting him (Portland, Indiana) while refusing to visit teams that very well could — such as Sacramento. Randolph’s workouts continue to underwhelm many onlookers, to the point that it has clearly affected his confidence. On the positive side, his dislocated shoulder does not appear to be a short-term or long-term issue, according to teams that have studied his physical in-depth.↵↵

↵I know that Randolph’s stock has been all over the place, and he’s been compared to everyone from Chris Bosh to Stromile Swift. But he’s not supposed to take that personally, or sabotage his career (and bank account) based on that day’s internet whims. Maybe he just really, really doesn’t want to play in Sacramento; more likely, this is a whole new “too young to make important professional decisions” angle. This is either childish or mildly insane.↵
↵
↵Speaking of rumors, the possibility of a Toronto/Knicks deal involving T.J. Ford makes a hell of a lot of sense. First of all, Colangelo and D’Antoni don’t hate each other, and have a mutual interest in making basketball more beautiful for us all. And both hate Sarver/Kerr, whose Suns are another possible destination for Ford. Not sure what the Knicks would give up; does Walsh value Ford more than anyone who will be on the board at #6?↵
