FirstCuts: Parker, Gasol On NBA Live Covers
Calling their shot before he even won the title, Kevin Garnett landed the cover for NBA 2K9, leaving EA Sports with a plethora of superstars to from which to choose.↵↵The entire Team USA roster was in play, more or less, but this season, it looks like EA Sports is going a different route. San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker has been named the cover athlete for the worldwide version of NBA Live 09. ↵
↵↵Continuing the multi-cover approach, EA Sports has called on three other NBA players -- I’d say stars, but I think you’ll see that one of these guys doesn’t really fit that definition. ↵
↵↵Toronto Raptors forward Andrea Bargnani will be featured on the cover in Italy. Lakers big man Pau Gasol takes the cover in Spain and Bulls forward Luol Deng leads the way in the UK.↵
↵↵EA is showing a little bit of that Olympic spirit by going international this season, and you’re also able to play with 24 authentic FIBA teams in the FIBA World Championship Mode.↵
↵↵NBA Live 09 hits stores on Sept. 23.↵
