Beware: Message Boards Are the Root of All Evil

I don’t live in Texas anymore, and couldn’t care less about college football. But if I did, I would probably be titillated by the OU quarterback cocaine dealing quarterback hoax that, you guessed, sprang fully-formed from a message board like Zeus’s head. Luckily, there’s this very angry dude, Berry Trammel of The Oklahoman, here to hip us to the absolute evils of internet. This is like Buzz Bissinger, if Buzz were really as stupid as he looked on Costas. ↵

↵
↵Allusions to porn, claims that message boards are a weapon, and the show-stopping phrase “bullfeathers” ... this is solid gold for anyone with the slightest bit of investment in online sports communities. If only the brave men and women of the Utah media had someone this righteous and clear-eyed on their side.↵
