Hey, The U.S. Open Started Today

Now that the Olympics have come and gone, the sporting circle of life continues to turn with the U.S. Open being the next big event to appear on my calendar. (Seriously, I have an actual sporting calendar with all these vital dates. For example, next Monday, MLB teams expand to 40-man active rosters and the NHRA Nationals are going down. I bet you didn’t know that.) ↵
↵
↵The tournament actually started this morning while you were still busy trying to put the pieces of your skull back together after the Closing Ceremony caused it to explode last night. Nothing of note has happened yet, but the first big match of the tournament is this evening with James Blake taking on fellow American, the young lefty Donald Young in the second match of the 7PM session (on USA).
↵
↵Beyond that, we’d love to preview the Open for you, but that would be a pointless waste of time because really, what do we know? (Other than Andy Roddick will probably lose in the third round to Dominik Hrbatý). So, instead, may we present this awesome video featuring the aforementioned Roddick picking the wrong chair ump to get hissy with:↵
