Place Your Bets: Which NFL Player Will Be Arrested First This Season?

Via MJD at Shutdown Corner comes this prop bet from BoDog.com, which allows fans to place wagers on which NFL player will be locked up next. Interestingly, there are only eight players on the list:↵↵Chris Henry, Bengals: 4/6
↵Pacman Jones, Cowboys: 1/1
↵Tank Johnson, Cowboys: 2/1
↵Ray Lewis, Ravens: 5/1
↵Steve Smith, Panthers: 5/1
↵Kellen Winslow, Browns: 6/1
↵Randy Moss, Patriots: 10/1
↵Ricky Williams, Dolphins: 15/1↵

↵↵As MJD points out, the incredibly unpredictable nature of this silly bet makes it pointless to put your money down on anyone who isn’t getting better than even money odds. I’d take that a step further: I’d need at least 5/1 on all these guys to even consider it. Having said all that, MJD goes with Chris Henry as his pick, based on the fact that the Cincy WR is returning to the same place where he’s been in trouble with the law previously, whereas Pacman, for example, is experiencing a change of scenery. I can’t argue with that logic.↵

↵↵But here’s my question: Where are all the white guys at? For some reason, Kellen Winslow is on the list, despite never having been arrested (being an idiot, in and of itself, is not actually an arrestable offense). And Ricky Williams? I don’t think you have to worry about him causing anything but good vibrations, man. ↵

↵↵I say you replace those two with Matt Jones and Jared Allen, if for no other reason than to get some Caucasians up in the mix. Besides, Jones was arrested for cocaine and Allen for driving drunk – twice – both of which are more dangerous offenses than Winslow driving himself into a curb or Williams forming drum circles. ↵
