Northcutt Is (Allegedly) a Horrible Person

From the file of “unspeakable acts” comes an accusation -- via the always respectable TMZ -- that Jaguars wide receiver Dennis Northcutt had his cousin (allegedly) beat a women who is (allegedly) pregnant with Northcutt’s child. The woman, Sharri Henry, is seeking an unspecified amount in damages.↵↵Henry claims that Northcutt had his cousin “maliciously assault, beat, strike and batter Plaintiff, her face and head with great force and violence ... causing severe and permanent disfigurement to her face.” The incident occurred outside of an L.A. nightclub in May, when she was four months pregnant. Henry did file a police report at the time of the attack.↵

↵↵So, why would Northcutt (allegedly) have a member of his “entourage” beat a pregnant woman? We’ll let Henry’s lawyer explain:↵

↵↵⇥“Mr. Northcutt and his entourage, which included his current girlfriend, were apparently angry that Miss Henry refused to abort a child that she believed he fathered. Words were exchanged and a member of that entourage, whom we believe is Mr. Northcutt’s cousin, viciously attacked Miss Henry.”↵↵Northcutt’s agent attempted to defend his client by saying, “This was nothing but a desperate shakedown by a jilted ex-girlfriend who is claiming to be pregnant with his child.” As for the assault, the agent said, “She verbally antagonized the guy who hit her.” Antagonized, you say? Oh, well, in that case, she was totally asking for it. ↵↵So, it seems that one way or another, a woman that was indeed Northcutt’s ex was beaten by a man while pregnant. The real question is whether Northcutt was aware of the beating, or much worse, encouraged it. ↵
