A-Rod: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The calendar is set to turn to September on Monday, which can only mean one thing for Yankees fans: It’s time to start mindlessly booing your best player. A-Rod felt the wrath during last night’s loss to Boston, as he put on an 0-5 performance, which included grounding into two double plays, one with the bases loaded.↵↵⇥They booed Alex Rodriguez Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium on what was supposed to be the first big night of the rest of the season, booed him as loudly as they have lately, booed him maybe as loudly as they ever have. …↵⇥↵⇥They booed A-Rod Tuesday night like he was Boston.↵⇥
↵⇥↵⇥They were still booing him in the top of the eighth when he fielded a routine ground ball hit by Dustin Pedroia and successfully threw it across the infield to Jason Giambi for a routine out.↵⇥
↵↵Hey, he fielded that ball perfectly! Who the hell does he think he is?! Boo him for not giving us something to boo! BOOOOOOO!!!↵
↵So I guess this officially begins the boo’ing of A-Rod, the same way that this fan base has for the last several seasons, despite the fact that it’s not his fault the Yankees aren’t going to make the playoffs this season, just like it isn’t his fault that they haven’t won a World Series during his time in New York. ↵
↵↵But, because A-Rod has too much class to say anything publicly about the ridicule he takes, he’ll just accept it, and give the company line -- “no one is more frustrated than me” -- when we all know there are others to blame. Namely, the entire starting rotation (with the possible exception of Moose), their precious Derek Jeter, who’s obviously not the hitter he once was and is more of a liability than an asset in the field, and their young “stars,” Cano and Cabrera, who have been pretty awful this season. ↵
↵↵Perhaps more than anything, though, injuries have been the team’s biggest hindrance this season. But it’s kinda hard to boo the disabled list, I guess. ↵
