Two Fights, Two Goals Early in Toronto

After a fight between Georges Laraque and Colton Orr (won by Laraque) then another fight between Jay Rosehill and Travis Moen (a draw), the two Canadian members of the Original Six decided to stop fighting and start scoring.

Brian Gionta put the Habs on top early, pounding in a power play goal in the slot shortly after the faceoffto give Montreal an early lead.

But Toronto equaled the game shortly thereafter, with Alexei Ponikarovsky for the Leafs, scoring on a pretty odd-man rush.
