Tonight’s Postponed Phillies-Rockies Game Could Have Been Coldest Ever

Mankind’s hubris has led to many a foolhardy venture, one of which is the attempt to play baseball in Colorado in October. As a consequence, Game Three of the Phillies-Rockies NLDS, which was scheduled to start at 8:07 ET this evening, will be moved to Sunday.

↵Saturday night’s forecast in Denver is sub-freezing and snowy. The record for coldest game in Major League Baseball History is Game Four of the 1997 World Series in Cleveland, when the temperature dropped to 38 degrees. It appears that tonight’s game could very well have been the coldest ever. This single, isolated occurrence is empirical proof that global warming is a myth!
