The Oklahoman reports that University of Oklahoma wide receiver Ryan Broyles might play this week against No. 3 Texas despite suffering a hairline fracture to his shoulder two weeks ago against the Univeristy of Miami.
Oklahoma WR Broyles Could Return Against Longhorns
Despite missing most of the game against Miami and all of last week’s game against Baylor, Broyles still leads the Sooners receiving corps with 26 receptions, 346 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
The loss of Broyles was especially bad for the Oklahoma offense since the Sooners had already lost All-America tight end Jermaine Gresham for the entire season due to an ACL tear.
With Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford back in the lineup for Baylor this past week and potentially Broyles back at receiver, the Oklahoma offense may give the Sooners a fighting chance against Texas in the Red River Shootout.
