Ryan Howard Simply Asks That You Give Him a Chance

Here’s what Game 4 starter Cliff Lee said after the Phillies cheated us out of a Game 5 thanks to Ryan Howard’s game-tying double in the 9th:

↵↵“That hit by Howard was the biggest and most impressive hit I’ve seen in my career. The only thing that might have made it better was if it woulda went out of the yard. He came down to the end of the bench and said, ‘Get me to the plate, boys.’ He wasn’t lying. He got up there and drilled those runs in. That was huge. That was the game right there.”

↵↵Good thing Howard came through. Had they gotten him to the plate and he flew out to end the game, that quote would’ve been decidedly less legendary.
