Perhaps it’s a generational thing—or a, “didn’t grow up in the tri-state area” thing—but like Elvis to Public Enemy, Mike and the Mad Dog never meant much to me. That’s why, as the Yankees try to recapture the magic they enjoyed during Mike and the Mad Dog’s heydey, it’s fitting that tonight’s ALCS would prompt a reunion from the snarling duo. You can catch highlights from Russo’s cameo on WFAN here, and hear Francessa’s subsequent cameo on Russo’s XM network at 6:30 pm EST.
↵And, if you’re a fan of the reactionary, sports talk radio mindset (aren’t we all?) that’s overtaken the sports media landscape in recent years, please remember to thank these guys.
