Dion Phaneuf put the game away with a late empty net goal and while it’s only the first game of the season, the Flames and Canucks only meet five more times this year. Every game against the direct divisional foe is a big one. And putting up a four-spot on Luongo is a nice feather in the throwback Flames’ caps.
