After breaking his ankle in Monday night’s loss to the Eagles, Redskins tight end Chris Cooley was expected to be out for the season. The break wasn’t as bad as originally though, however, and Cooley may return in four week.
Chris Cooley Says He Will Probably Go On IR
Via Dan Steinberg over at the DC Sports Bog comes news that Chris Cooley told radio host Eliot of the eponymous show Eliot In The Morning that Cooley will most likely be placed on IR due to his broken ankle.
On Monday Rick Maese of the Washington Post reported that Cooley would have to wear a walking boot on his injured ankle for at least another 10 days, but the team would not commit to making a decision about placing him on IR. One day later, that stance has apparently changed.
