Chris Cooley Breaks Foot, Lost For The Year

According to the Washington Post

Tight end Chris Cooley broke his right foot late in the second quarter of the Redskins’ game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.

Cooley was hurt when he tried to change direction.

“He’s got a break in his ankle,” Coach Jim Zorn said. “It’s on the inner side of his tibia. I haven’t seen the X-rays yet, but we’re quite certain it’s broke or fractured in some way; we’ll have a better diagnosis tomorrow. He’ll be out for a while. I don’t know that it’s a season-ending injury yet. I can’t say that.”

Said center Casey Rabach: “When it rains, it pours. We lost a really good football player tonight, probably one of the best on our offense. ... I would have never thought this. This is tough.”

Fred Davis entered the game and caught 8 passes for 78 yards and a TD. Get Fred Davis off your waiver wire! Fred Davis is a 2008, 2nd-round pick, and at 6-4, 250lbs, was making plays. Davis is a good addition to any fantasy football team.
