Disgraced NBA referee Tim Donaghy very nearly had his Jose Canseco-esque moment in the sun. His book, titled “Blowing The Whistle” (of course it is) was all set to be published by Triumph books before, according to Deadspin, the NBA threatened to sue and Triumph parent company Random House dumped the book. So no one is publishing Donaghy’s book … except Deadspin, which does have selected excerpts. After a quick glance, methinks Mr. Donaghy might be trying just a wee bit too hard. But you can judge for yourself.
