Taylor Mays Hopes Attempted Decapitation Gets Obama’s Attention

↵Taylor Mays likes heads. Sometimes he does try to collect them somewhat forcefully, but he’s a creature of his passions.

↵

The emerging debate over concussions has swept up Mays and his hobby, unfortunately. As always, you can feel free to blame Notre Dame, or in this case Congressman Dan Lungren®, an ND alum who cited Mays’ helmet-popping hit on Irish receiver Robby Paris during a hearing on head injuries in the NFL.

↵Mays is hoping this wrong kind of attention gets him the right kind of attention.

↵↵“Maybe [President] Obama will give me a call,” he said, chuckling. “I don’t have any bad intentions. I don’t know how it could get that far but that’s just the reality of the situation.”

↵↵That’s looking on the upside. Congress now has time to do this, having already won the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, balanced the budget, and figured out health care. Go Congress!
