Fantasy Friday: Week 8 Team Scouting Reports From SB Nation

So...we heard that there's this big game going on in Green Bay this weekend. Something about a dude named Favre coming to town. We decided to check in with Acme Packing Company and see what his thoughts on the Packers fantasy prospects would be while welcoming an old friend/enemy back home.

QB Aaron Rodgers. The last time he played the Vikings, he was hit often and sacked 8 times. But he still managed 384 yards, 2 TDs, and had almost 30 points in my Fleaflicker league. The Vikings pass defense hasn’t gotten any better since that game. They’ll probably be without injured Pro Bowl CB Antoine Winfield. Start.

RB Ryan Grant. He had a monster game last week against the Browns, but who doesn’t? He’s never averaged under 4.5 yards/carry against the Vikings, but he’s only gone over 20 carries against them once. He only had 11 carries when they last played four weeks ago. Sit.

WR Greg Jennings. He hasn’t scored a TD since week 1, and hasn’t gone over 100 yards since week 3. He’s been battling some injuries this season, and they must be having an effect on him. Sit.

WR Donald Driver. An average game for him this season is 4 catches for 80 yards. With 1 TD reception every other week. And he didn’t catch one in the last game against the Vikings, so he’s due. Start.

Packers D. They’re currently rated as the best defense by Football Outsiders and are forcing turnovers. In their last game against the Vikings, they even returned one for a score. It was also their worst game of the season as QB Brett Favre torched the secondary. However, SS Atari Bigby has been healthy the past two weeks and was badly missed in that earlier matchup. And the tough run defense held RB Adrian Peterson to only 55 yards rushing (2.2 yards/carry) in their last meeting. Start.
