Ever wondered how to gain some momentum when you’re ranked No. 4 in the nation and you’re losing in the second half to an unranked team? Do this:
A Series Of Fortunate Events
Indiana had the ball deep in Iowa territory. Through a Rube Goldbergian series of events (I’m pretty sure this play involved a gerbil powering a conveyor belt via an exercise wheel), Ben Chappell’s pass bounced off a player four times before Iowa’s Tyler Sash ran it back the other way for an 86-yard touchdown.
Unfortunately for the Hawkeyes, they have also demonstrated how to lose momentum just as promptly: Iowa’s Ricky Stanzi has thrown four interceptions. You don’t need a diagram for that.
