Ken Griffey, Jr.‘s Emotional Mariners Day

Ken Griffey’s return to Seattle this year was always bound to be an emotional ride: Griffey played his best, most formative years in Seattle, and fans love him accordingly. Today, Griffey’s final at-bat of the season (he’s currently contemplating a return) was a base hit, and according to Twitter user John Depue (hat tip: Big League Stew) Griffey was carried off the field by his teammates after the game. Tonight, I shall wear my hat backward, in memoriam.
