Be Afraid: Kobe’s Rested This Year

Kobe Bryant’s had a brilliant career, and the last two seasons have only added to legend. But more than just his numbers over that span, it was his consistency. Not only did Kobe average more than 27 points a game and make it to the NBA Finals twice, but he played in all 82 games both seasons, as well 44 combined playoff games. I got tired just typing that sentence.

Oh, and in case you forgot, he was busy all last summer leading Team USA to a gold medal. Finally, though, it seems he’s gotten a chance to take some time off this summer, and as he and the Lakers get ready to repeat, Kobe says he’s feeling better than ever:

↵↵“I feel fresher, healthier, as healthy as I’ve felt in a long time. I haven’t had a chance to take a month and a half off in quite some time.”

↵↵No, no he hasn’t. And now that Kobe’s been able to kick his feet up finally, methinks the Black Mamba is more than ready to strike again.
