Whazzup y’all!

This is Inhistoric, the SB Nation blog intended to be the No. 1 source in sports history. From everything that happened on a certain day of the year, to reliving the greatest moments in sports history, to digging up esoteric nonsense like the Refrigerator Perry GI Joe commercial, Inhistoric will cover just about anything that’s vintage and classic about sports.

This site had previously existed as an independent blog for two years, and it garnered about as much traffic as a snowball in Antarctica. But those days are over, as Inhistoric is now a part of the biggest sports blog network on the web. Whoo!

I have to thank the people at SB Nation for giving me this opportunity. Blez, Chris Haines, Warren Schultheis, Ryan Gantz -- I can’t thank you people enough for setting up and designing this thing. It looks sweet.

Also, in case you were wondering, Inhistoric is all one word. It is not “InHistoric,” nor is it “In Historic.” It is Inhistoric. So if you’re going to link to or reference this site, make sure that it’s Inhistoric. I dream of a day when I will be able to type in “Inhistoric” to Google, and Google won’t spit out: “Did you mean In Historic?” No, damn it, I did not! (Just a pet peeve of mine)

Anyway, that’s it for the introduction. Leave comments, upload images, write posts. Don’t be shy, don’t be a jerk. Just have fun reminiscing about the good ‘ole days. Peace!

Inhistoric’s writer is moving on to write about sports history for SBNation.com. But first, he bids a sad, reflective farewell to the blog that got him this far.
