Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera apologized yesterday for the drunken incident the morning of a game last Saturday. He seems sorry that his actions were a distraction, but not actually sorry for his actions.
Miguel Cabrera Wasn’t Supposed to Be at Townsend in the First Place
↵But whatever, that’s not the interesting part. This is:
↵↵More than a month ago, team officials told Cabrera to stay out of the Townsend after he allegedly challenged patrons to a fight at the hotel’s Rugby Grille bar and intimated he had a gun.
↵↵So, he was specifically told to stay away from that bar. And not only did he break those orders, but also had the little issue of getting wasted and taken to jail for fighting with his wife the same morning of a crucial October baseball game.
↵I fully expect the Tigers to suspend him for a few games … just as soon as this season is over.
